NP Glory 4 - Tracking
To assist in the
completion of St Helena International Airport, Basil Read has
chartered a massive Thai cargo vessel, the NP Glory 4.
The NP Glory 4 cargo vessel has been
charted from NP Marine for a period of 36-months for the project to
transport fuel, materials and plant to and from the island.
With cargo carrying capacity of 2 400
tons, this vessel is 78 m long with a width of 16 m and a draft of
3.5 m when fully laden. The ship has a 70 tonne ramp and deck space
of 800 m2, which it allows it to carry more than 140
6 m-long containers.
At the peak of St Helena Airport’s
Construction, the NP Glory 4 will transport 900 tons of diesel and 1
500 tons of deck cargo. The vessel has also been fitted with a 40ft
crane on deck. This gives the ship the capability of handling up to
30 tonne loads anywhere on the deck.
